1 1/4 teaspoons salt, divided
3/4 teaspoon ground pepper, divided
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves
1 (8 ounce) package mushrooms
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
Clean and slice mushrooms. Set aside.
Rub steaks with 1 t salt and 1/2 t pepper.
Cook steaks in hot oil in a large skillet over medium high heat for 4-5 minutes per side.
Let rest on a warming platter (in oven).
Add garlic to the skillet; saute 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
Add mushrooms and remaining 1/4 t salt and 1/4 t pepper, saute 3 minutes.
Stir in balsamic vinegar; cook for 5 minutes, stirriing frequently.
Spoon mixture over each steak.
