Homemade Rice Milk with Calcium

Post by Gloria »

I added the powder from calcium capsules to my homemade rice milk this week. I get the capsules from The Vitamin Shoppe. This time I added the powder while the milk was still hot and in the blender. I blended it at the highest speed for two minutes instead of one.

This slight change worked like a charm. The powder blended in completely and seemed to make the milk creamier. I still use the milk alone for cereal and cooking and mix half of it with the Almond Dream for a beverage. I'm getting more calcium this way and hopefully it is more easily digested. Plus, it's very cheap and tastes better.
