It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Ahh-taxes!

I am in CA, we had a special election yesterday to try and save the state from financial disaster by passing propositions to allow spending to increase despite no $$...

Coincidentally, I was in Sacramento on a 4th grade field trip - we went to the Capitol building - visited the (empty) senate chambers and I asked our docent - "Where IS everyone, and why aren't they in here "working" on the budget?!" - Apparently they only convene 2 half-days a week  The "governator" was in D.C - so no "sightings" but they did allow us into his private reception area - the kids bounced on the sofas and oohed and aahed over "Terminator" memorabilia....

We did get to pan for gold near Sutter's Fort - which was *way* cool  I guess there is a guy who mines a claim somewhere on the American River - on a good day he finds $1800 worth of gold - and he sells some of it to the souvenir shops...

2 things are certain in life - death and taxes - ain't that the truth!
