I Got My Tamiflu Yesterday

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Nope, I don't have the flu, I just wanted to have some Tamiflu on hand, just in case the swine flu comes back next fall or winter, in a deadly form, like the 1918 Spanish flu. My doctor seems to agree that there's a fairly decent chance that could happen. If it should happen, I didn't want to take a chance on waiting until the panic starts, and then discover that the shelves are empty. The package I bought has more than a 3-year shelf life, so there's no reason to wait. The doc said that the government had pretty much stockpiled it, but they released 50,000,000 doses, when the swine flu made the headlines. I'll bet most governments around the world did the same thing, so I would recommend gettin' it while it's available. Hopefully, we'll never need it, and after three years, we'll just throw it away - but it could turn out to be very cheap life insurance, when the chips are down, if worse comes to worse. So far at least, it's effective against the H1N1 strain known as the swine flu, and hopefully it would remain effective, even if the strain takes a more lethal turn.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
