Mislabeling

Post by Gloria »

I was so excited when I spotted Polish Farina, which the package said was made from 100% buckwheat. It was in a clear plastic bag with a label affixed. Since Farina made in the U.S. is made from wheat, I decided I should look up the Polish name on the Internet to be sure it was made from buckwheat. Lo and behold, I discovered that it was made from wheat.

I emailed the company to report the labeling error and they called me within a couple of hours. They blamed the label on an outsource company and profusely apologized to me. They said if I ever was in their vicinity, I should tell them I was the Gloria who discovered the mislabling of the Farina and they would give me something for free. Ha! Why don't they just mail me some buckwheat?

Anyway, I'm glad I checked. As usual, let the buyer beware.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
