pregnancy and MC

Post by mom2be »

Hi anyone,

I was glad to stumble upon this site and hoping someone out there can relate/advise me since MC is not something the doctors know too much about yet really. I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first child and in the last week my MC has really flared up. Primarly I wake up with a bad experience in the bathroom and it continues. I have only needed Immodium to date to control my flare ups which have been random in the past but this is becoming more constant and even though it is not a terrible drug it makes me nervous to take it so often during the 1st trimester. Of course my anxiousness about it and being pregnant can't be helping the MC improve. I did read diarhea can be common for some woman instead of morning sickness too. Has anyone else had this happen to them and what are their thoughts. Thanks!

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Welcome. I'm not sure which posts Tex pointed you towards (I don't have time to look this am), but CAMary had MC by the time she had her youngest so I'm sure will have some words of wisdom.

Hope things settle down for you soon. Have you tried eliminating possible food sensitivities? And good luck with the pregnacy.

Katy
